Joseph Ellis

Special Education Advocate

Empowering Families. Protecting Rights. Bridging the Gap.

With over 15 years of dedicated service in the public education system, Joseph is more than just an advocate—he is a seasoned expert who has sat at every seat of the ARD table. As a Texas Master Rated Teacher, Joseph has spent his career navigating the complexities of the classroom and the front office to ensure that no child falls through the legal or educational cracks.

From the Classroom to the Global Stage

Joseph’s journey began in the classroom as a Special Education Teacher, where he developed a passion for differentiated instruction and student-centered growth. His leadership quickly propelled him into roles as Department Chair and Special Education Coordinator, where he oversaw compliance, managed multi-disciplinary teams, and refined the delivery of services for entire campuses.

His impact extends beyond the local district. Joseph has been a vocal participant in global special education awareness initiatives, collaborating with international educators to share best practices and advocate for the universal rights of students with disabilities.

Why You Need an Advocate

Parents commonly feel overwhelmed by special education procedures, legal jargon, and paperwork, and advocates help interpret evaluations, explain legal rights under IDEA and Section 504, and guide them through meetings and communications with schools.

"Mr Ellis was knowledgeable about the special education services my child qualified for and helped me get my child better supports at school."
